Gastroenterology Associates & The Endoscopy Center are focused on the digestive system and its disorders. We can help those who are in distress by providing patients thorough consultations, testing, and treatment options. We also offer preventative care measures such as screening patients for colon cancer.<\/p>\n

Procedures:<\/h3>\n

Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD or upper endoscopy), colonoscopy, and flexible sigmoidoscopy.<\/em><\/p>\n

EGD or upper Endoscopy<\/strong> procedures are performed to examine the upper gastrointestinal track including the esophagus, stomach and the upper part of the small intestine (duodenum).<\/p>\n

Colonoscopy<\/strong> procedures are done to examine the colon or the large intestine. This is done to check for abnormalities or disease, or as a preventative measure to check for colon cancer.<\/p>\n

Sigmoidoscopy<\/strong> is a test that looks at the rectum and lower part of the large intestine.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
